Not every building benefits from an MRL’s compact shaft. High-rises, hotels, and buildings with heavier daily passenger loads often do better with a dedicated machine room — easier access for our technicians, room for higher-capacity equipment, and a configuration that’s been refined for decades. Skydeck’s MR elevators use the traditional overhead machine room layout, built for buildings where reliability at scale matters more than shaft space savings.
